The Crew Program at Leighton Dance Project is tailored for passionate dancers from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade who seek to enhance their dance training while maintaining the flexibility to pursue other interests. Admission to this program is through auditions, where dancers are selected to join one of the competitive teams that train together throughout the season.
Crew
Participants in the Crew Program receive structured training in various dance styles, including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Acro. This comprehensive approach allows dancers to develop versatility and proficiency across multiple disciplines. Throughout the season, Crew dancers have the opportunity to showcase their talents in a dedicated themed production and compete in local competitions, providing valuable performance experience and fostering a sense of camaraderie among team members.
The program is designed to accommodate dancers’ diverse interests and commitments, offering a set training track that enables them to balance dance with other passions in their lives. By participating in the Crew Program, dancers build friendships, create lasting memories, and develop resilience and dance skills that contribute to their personal and artistic growth.
For those interested in this program, our Crew Evaluations are scheduled in May 2025, providing an opportunity for new and returning dancers to audition for the upcoming season.
